Educational History:

I am a 1997 Troy High School Graduate; I attended Troy ISD K-12

I graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 2002

Degrees and Certifications:

Bachelors Degree in Exercise Sport Science with a Biology Minor

Texas Teacher Certificate in: 4-8 Science; 4-8 Social Studies; 8-12 Science

I am Certified to drive a school bus

Current Position:

I started teaching at Troy Elementary in January 2021

I have a total of 13 years with Troy ISD 

I am currently teaching 5th Grade Science and Social Studies

Previous Position:

I started teaching and coaching in 2002 at Somerville ISD. 

I have taught and coached in Troy for a total of 13 years, 7 of which I heald the position of Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. 

I have taught many subjects including but not limited to: 5th grade science and social studies (current), 8th grade science, 8th grade History, Integrated Physics and Chemistry, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology.

Married Christina Porter in 2002

I have 2 Boys. Ty is 11, he is a 6th grader at Troy. CJ is 16, he is a 11th grader at Troy. 

I have 2 dogs, both boxers, Pixi and Molli

 

Personal Information:

I love to hunt and fish. 

When not teaching I love spending time with my family.
